Ladies and gentlemen and Makita fans Worldwide welcome to the first Makita Update of 2024 good day everyone welcome back to Tools and stuff my first video for the Year 2024 where do the years go in this one We are going to start with a couple of Newly released tools then we'll get into The patents so first up well you're Looking at it aren't you what do we have Here on the bench this has just been Released in quite a lot of the world it Is the Bc01 inverter and the full review of This will be up in a couple of days if You're watching this when this video's Just come out this video has been out For a week well then maybe I will have Stuck it up in the top Corner otherwise You'll have to wait now this inverter Runs on the PDC 01 which is the lxt Battery pack slots on the top or the PDC 1200 once again the same and they plug In the back but also it runs on another Thing and that's this which some of You probably haven't seen yet there you Go the PDC 1500 the new Makita backpack Battery 300 more wat hours than the Other one over there and like 10 more Amp hours that means So that video like I say couple of days Up here up there down in the description Maybe have a look down there next up we

Have the lightsaber that's right the Makita lightsaber the ml01 12g that's The 40 volt version or the ml 818 which Is the 14v or 18vt version it'll run on Both batteries so this can be one long Light or you can fold it sort of in half And have sort of 360° light it's 380 mm Light and a 280 mm light the whole tool Of it's standing on its battery with the Handle and everything included is just Over a meter in height has three light Settings the highest being 1,700 lumens 800 in the middle and 400 at the bottom 1,700 lumens is pretty good this torch Is only 1,50 lumens and it is very Freaking bright it is my go-to torch it Yeah you can see a long way with that Thing and yeah that's only 1,250 so an Extra 450 lumens on this lightsaber Light so that's pretty cool you can get Hooks and stuff for it to go on a bonnet Uh just like the recently released Milwaukee one it's 350 lumens brighter Than the Milwaukee uh but I think the Milwaukee might come with the hooks to Go straight on the Bonnet whereas the Makita it is an optional accessory next Up I wanted to talk about the robo Mower And I had images for it and I can't find The damn things and I can't find them Online again now so if I find them Before the end of editing this video Then maybe they'll be on the screen here Now otherwise we'll talk about that one

At a later date but I think it is Already out in some parts of the world Also recently released the 40 volt Upright vac you may remember a while ago They released an 18x two version of this I think while now there's a 40 volt Version the VC 01g and yeah it's an Upright vac not the sort of thing most Of us are probably going to buy more Used for offices and sort of commercial Cleaning purposes just like the backpack Vac got that commercial sort of thing Going on right let's now jump into Things that might be tools one day soon Um or might not ever be tools they might Just be patents forever more who knows First up how about a Peltier jacket What's a pelti jacket well it can be hot And it can be cold so a cooling and Heating jacket A pelti system can when You reverse the electrical flow absorb Heat or release heat or cold you know so It's it'll be pretty cool wouldn't it to Have a jacket that you could use all Year round instead of having to buy a Cooling jacket and a heating jacket not That in this part of the world I really Bother with either um but if I did Certain jobs one job I used to have um First thing in the morning the heated Jacket was very nice in the middle of The winter next up another 40 volt tool It's along the lines of a vacuum but it Is a spot cleaner or stain cleaner so

It's like a wet dry vac but it also adds Its own liquid so instead of being a Vacuum where you suck up water like you Do with a wet dry vac this one will Introduce the liquid as well with a Solution that can remove stains so it's A compact unit my wife bought one of These recently actually um not a Makita One to remove some stains on something I Don't know it's a stain spot stain Remover basically that injects the Liquid into the area and sucks it Straight back up again I don't know how Much of an appeal that will'll have with You guys next up this one is a little Odd it is one that we probably don't Need anymore and was developed for Something that happened recently in the World and it is a UV light sterilizing Unit like a Mac Pack Box that you would Stick your tools and batteries in and Zap them with a UV sterilizing light to Kill viruses and Bacteria um I don't know if there will Be a market for that going forward there Might be cuz you know you never know What else is going to happen pandemics Won't stop with the last one so maybe There'll be a market for that Particularly on large construction sites With shared tools or something I don't Know I'm just trying to think what Percentage I would put on them actually Make that but who knows who knows next

Up an interesting way to deal with the Dust from your circular saw now many of You will have seen dust free circular Saws that have a case around them Basically to catch all the dust or as Much dust as possible and then you empty That out later well this is a patent for A way to empty it out so an attachment That would go by the looks on top of Maybe an existing 40 volt vac or some Other Makita vac stick it on the top you Do your Cuts with your saw with your Dust free shroud and then once it's full Sit it down on top of the unit that Would be on top of the V and that will Activate it and it will suck all the Dust out of the soore so basically this Is a way of being dustless and not Having to have a hose on your saw so You've got a cordless saw you don't have To worry about a cord you don't have to Worry about a vacuum hose it's all taken Care of without any leads or hoses which I kind of like the idea of so it'll be Interesting to see if that one comes to Fruition next an 18vt trolley this is Just a pretty simple looking Dolly type Trolley thing um yeah pretty basic stuff You know most most offices and Warehouses have one of these kicking Around well this is a battery powered One so you don't have to pull or push it Yourself and going along the same lines Is also this painton come out which is

You know kind of like the carts that We've seen before but it's got different Handle system more like something you Would pull along behind you rather than The wheelbarrow style handles now There's also been a bunch of impact Driver patents they just look like They're basically trying to fine-tune The size of the tool and the hammering Mechanisms trying to make them a little Less hammey on you and a little bit Shorter more Compact and more efficient So there's been a lot I'm pretty sure Soon we'll have some much smaller Makita Impact drivers and hopefully an Installation driver and there's plenty More patents kicking around the place Such as this rotating open socket Attachment that you would put on an Impact driver so that you can get into Awkward places and tighten up rods Tighten up nuts that sort of stuff move Them along a thread when you can't get a Clothes spanner over the end there is Also this pick what do you reckon about That hey what do you reckon about that I'll let you all discuss that one in the Comments section and as for a table saw One of the things I get asked about the Most when are we going to get a 40 volt Table saw well I've got no information On table saw sorry but here's a table Saw that some of you might not have seen Just just for fun it is the 2712 it's a
